As I make my journey to hopefully become a writer who can make a living off of his writing, I keep coming face to face with the realization that I am a reader then a writer.
I read many books that fall in love with and never wanted to let close like Ender's Game by Orsen Scott Card. This love for these stories and characters that inhabit them grew till I wanted to create my own.
For a long time I have been reading on-line and offline tons of tomes filled with tips on the writing craft. As I write I find myself reading my work as write, as I edit, after I think I have done a good job editing, and as I close up my writing shop for the day. All this reading and I am not even half way through my first novel!
Please understand, I am not complaining at all. I am trying say why I feel any writer needs to become the very best reader they can become before hoping to become even a good writer.
